Track

Determining what track system is best for your stage is not an easy task. Our consultants can help you find the right system to meet your needs and budget. Major Theatre is a dealer for Automatic Devices (ADC), considered to be the industry standard for theater track systems. We will not only help you select the system that is right for you but can also handle the installation. Please contact us if you have any questions or for assistance with your particular situation.

Below are some of the types of track systems we provide.

Manual

  • Bi-parting – Bi-parting tracks are the most common type used in performance spaces. It is operated by a rope and pulley on one side of the stage. The track is designed to have the curtain open is the center and stack to either side of the stage.
  • One Way Draw – One way draw curtains are used in situations where the entire curtain is intended to stack on one side of the track, and is operated by rope and pulley.
  • Walkalong – Walkalong tracks are commonly used in television studios and other spaces where the operator can be seen. The curtain is moved by pulling it directly or by using a rod that is connected to the end of the last curtain carrier.
  • Rotodrapers – Rotodrapers are a special type of mechanism that are typically used for stage leg curtains. They have wheels that allow them to move the legs along a track, and then they can additionally pivot to angle the curtains as needed.

Motorized
Motorized tracks systems are commonly used for large curtains, where precision is needed, or places where it is safer to use a motor instead of someone manually moving the curtain.
